Hartford Agency

The Hartford Agency was built to sell insurance all around Lewiston and Auburn. Lucas' father, Dick Hartford and grandfather, Oscar Hartford built The Hartford Agency together. The Hartford Agency was built in 1973 and is located on the east side of Main Street.
Its original purpose was to sell insurance. This is all Hartford has ever done. The Hartford Agency is important to the Lewiston community. A lot of people don't like to buy insurance because it cost too much money but they still buy the insurance to protect themselves in case anything happens such as an accident or their house burns down.
Hartford's current purpose is still to sell insurance and they also have a special company located in the same office that offers a program to sell insurance to campgrounds and RV parks throughout the United States. My mom works for this company and talks to many different people every day. The Hartford Agency is still important today because the service they provide protects people in the event a catastrophe occurs and gives them money to help pay for something that has been damaged.
I learned that The Hartford Agency is a very important part of Lewiston because everyone needs insurance. Something interesting did happen while I did my research. Mr. Hartford and I liked talking to each other while I was doing the interview with him. Some things we talked about were school in general, what kind of subjects I like, and cheering.
