Three schools from three countries on three continents have united via the internet to create one virtual classroom. Students form Dunkalk, Ireland, Mangonui, New Zealand, and Lewiston, Maine U.S.A, have worked together to research animals, legends and folk tales, study the landforms of the three communities. They have created assignments for each other to learn from and to have fun together. These students have shared their photos, holiday traditions, part of their daily routines. They have learned many things from everyday vocabulary to regional expressions. From their "Take away" survey students discovered similarities and differences between their local community. That "Squid Rings" were actually squid and not a cute name for "Onion Rings". A gobsmacked basically it means WOW! Praise from new Irish classmates.

Perhaps the best lesson learned was how alike students around the world truly are. Their foods many be difference but their Christmas wish list were similar so were their wish for Peace on Earth. All would agree the best was having a change to visit Europe through the eyes of Mr. Rust's students, to see Australia through the drawings of Mrs. Giesbers' students and have summer vacation during Christmas time, and to have a chance to frequent all the Take Away located near Martel School with Mrs. Letourneau's students.

Three continents, three countries, three terrific groups of students make one fantastic virtual classroom.
