between Main Street and Lisbon Street. There you will find banks,
credit unions, law offices, restaurants as well as retail stores
and other businesses that help to serve the communty.

fire department, the court house, the offices of the school
department, the post office, and library are also located here.
The City Park is located right across
from City Hall. It is an eight acres park that was originally
donated by the Franklin Company for that purpose. It includes a
gazebo, a water fountain, an olympic size swimming pool, a
playground, as well as two monuments to Lewiston's fallen sons.

The Civil War Soliders
Monument is located near the northeastern corner of the park. It
was designed by Franklin Simmons. The names of 112 soldiers who
died in the Civil War are engraved on the granite base. The City
Hall and the Old DeWitt Hotel are visible in the background of
the picture to the right.

Located at the
southwestern corner of the park is a monument dedicated to the
brave men who gave their lives in the Korean War.
