Winter Festival 2001

Winter Festival 2001 was the first annual winter celebrations that encouraged snowmobile lovers to enjoy their winter sport.

It was held on No Name Pond in Lewiston on Saturday and Sunday January 13-14. A tethered balloon ride was scheduled on Saturday but due to weather conditions it was postponed to Sunday.

Hay rides pulled by a snowmobile groomers, lots of food, snowmobile drag racing, and lots of fun were the key events of the weekend. It was amazing that all those trucks and snow machines were on the icy surface of No Name Pond.

This was the first in year of sponsoring a winter festival to celebrate the many winter sports enjoyed by the local citizens.
