Lewiston, Maine Poem written by third grade students 2001  Lovely, lively, little city Sitting on the Androscoggin Busy with cars, jobs, families, Wind chimes make music for people to dance do Five fires in my neighborhood frightens me Nice neighbors bring out my gift of gab Cars go fast, looks like some are from Mars Trucks zoom by my house Buildings are not very tall Birds sing as I get up each morning Up comes the moon, up come the sun Houses white as snow Lewiston is bright and light and dreamy all night As wonderful as all its people   Lincoln Street By Brittany My city is Lewiston Car going fast Winds in your hair People on the sidewalk Babies being born every day Look at a dandelion Look at the rainbow Look at the different color houses    Lewiston by Christine Up the moon goes Up comes the sun? I went to the store to get something It was night So I went home To get some nighty night I got into my bedclothes Then said "Good night Sleep tight!"   Stores & Houses by Christopher Roll up the sun, Put up the moon, When it's dark the sores close When it's sunny, The house unlock in and about Lewiston   Lewiston by Dustin It's bright and light Dreamy all night Down in town you can play All day But at night a lot of people like to go With a river near, a waterfall, and ponds It is fun Play all day and night!    Lewiston by Glenn In Lewiston there are a lot of cars It looks like some are from Mars My house is peach like the beach I have a big field My garage door has s shield A lock A flock of geese tried to get in It would be cool to see a geese Having a feast.    My Neighborhood by Jacob My place is a nice place to be To watch the squirells flee I have a very nice neighbor Who gives me the gift of gab McDonald's is just down the street I might be able to walk down with bare feet   Lewiston by Jake The wind blows In December it snows There is a lot of lakes Some people don't like to bake cakes The chimes play music, People dance to it Some people are poor Some people are rich And lots of kids like to pitch    Lewiston's Church by Jeffrey In the church where the teachers teach And the small children learn about God When the preacher comes Teh children think of God They think of God in there sleep They think of God in School They think of God at Home They think of God everywhere Everywhere they go They think of God The children think of God They believe in God They love God They know that God love them too.
