April 14-18 This week in Mrs. B.'s room, we. . .

Literacy

* Wrote about what we LOVE to do, wrote letters, had a Free Choice day, and wrote about our weekends

*worked on rhyming, blend sounds, and LONG VOWELS!

*practiced our spelling words witha games called Spell Around The Rosie.

*Started a new book called The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary

* did some phonics pages as a whole group for more long vowel practice.

*wrote about the Easter eggs we painted.

*worked at Literacy Centers and had reading groups with Mrs. B.

Math

* practiced subtraction, patterns in numbers, and number order.

*learned about ordinal numbers and did some fun word problems to practice our math strategies.

*practiced ones and tens place value and even practiced how to add 2 digit numbers!!

*counted and labeled coins and their values.
